Students develop reading fluency and comprehension skills, laying a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning. All Pathway Reader books are illustrated with cute, black-and-white, farm-inspired drawings and encourage Christian values. The Learning Through Sounds Practice Workbook is a review of workbooks 1 and 2 from Grade 1, providing a solid bridge into 2nd grade material. Each reader is hardcover with a correlating workbook (at least 3 pages of exercises per story) and teacher manual, done in the following sequence: Busy Times, More Busy Times, and Climbing Higher. Teacher manuals show copies of textbook and workbook pages with answers filled in and contain detailed instructions for teaching. Workbooks train students to work independently, focusing on grammar, reading, spelling, writing, and thinking skills. Tests and Tests Answer Key sold separately.
I used the Pathway books for my daughter in grade 2 based on the recommendation from our homeschool teacher advisor. It was our first year homeschooling. The stories are simple and heartwarming. The workbooks were straightforward. There were definite times I needed to refer to the teacher manual because it is a traditional way of learning reading comprehension. However, it is valuable, and I definitely feel like my daughter's reading took a big jump forward this year.

Does the Climbing higher book have a reading chart?
I'm not entirely sure what you are asking. The Climbing Higher book is the third in the 2nd grade series of books. It would be used most of 2nd semester. If that doesn't answer your question, please contact our customer service department - 888-841-3456.
