I can see a family learning about a historical period or person and having the younger children listening and playing along with these quiet little sets. Choose from Amelia Earhart, Annie Oakley, Betsy Ross, Clara Barton, Katherine Johnson, and Meadowlark (Sacajawea). Each set comes with a wooden frame (about 4.5 x7”) and a separate wooden overlay. The top frame is colored in and has an opening where you can lay fabric between the layers to create a variety of skirt/pants designs. It comes with several bits of fabric and some ribbons, but you can dig through your own fabric scraps to make even more outfits! It’s quiet, creative, simple, builds dexterity, and it’s informative. The back has a bit to read about each person. Get them all and see what the kids come up with. Perhaps Katherine Johnson can talk to Clara Barton! ~Sara
