Publisher's Description of Spelling You See Level E: American Spirit Set (Revised Edition)

Unlock the power of visual spelling with Spelling You See. This research-based program takes a multi-sensory approach to spelling, helping students learn in a way that feels natural and intuitive. With Spelling You See, there are no word lists, no tests, and no rote memorization. Instead, students learn through four core activities and meaningful practice. The American Spirit Set includes every component necessary for success.

Ignite a passion for history and spelling with the Spelling You See American Spirit Set. This captivating Level E set guides students through the skill development stage of spelling. Students will read about various people and significant American history events, with a gradually increasing reading level. Through engaging activities, your student will master common words to spell while exploring key figures and moments in American history.

At the same time, the emphasis on the mastery of everyday words continues, building a strong foundation for the next stage of spelling. Just as in the previous level, American Spirit utilizes the four core activities of Spelling You See: Daily Huddle – which starts each lesson off with a conversation about challenging words, chunking – which provides hands-on experience with English’s many irregular letter patterns, copywork – which requires the brain to pay attention to details in print, and dictation – which gives an opportunity for students to demonstrate decoding and encoding in a meaningful context.

The Spelling You See American Spirit Set includes an Instructor's Handbook and Student Workbooks and is ideal for instructors and students who are new to Spelling You See or are starting this level for the first time. This set includes everything you need to achieve success.
