Story of the World Volume 1 Complete Hardcover Package
- Everything you need for one year of classical history study of the Ancient times
- Intended for 1st grade students, but activities can be adjusted up or down for students as needed
- Perfect package for a family who needs an auditory component
An upgrade from the Story of the World Volume 1 Hardcover Combo package, this package includes everything a family needs to study Volume 1 of Story of the World, including an additional set of the consumable Student Pages in a bound format (also in the included Activity Book), plus an unabridged audiobook recording of the text. This package is best if you want to save the consumable pages from the Activity Book for another child later, sell the book when done with it, or if you have two students needing the consumable pages. While student pages from the activity book can also be photocopied, it may be more economical to have them in bound format. Photocopy rights only extend to family use, not co-ops or classrooms. This package specifically includes a hardcover reader and audiobook in the materials, which provide a year-long study of Ancient history.
Subtitled "From the Earliest Nomads to the Last Roman Emperor," this volume covers early writing and farming, ancient Egyptians, Sumerians, the Hebrew people, Babylonians, Assyrians, ancient India, ancient China, ancient Africa, Phoenicians, Ancient Greeks, Persia, the Roman empire, the collapse of the Roman empire, early Christianity, Attila the Hun and other barbarians. Volume One was revised in 2006 and now features more illustrations, maps, several timelines and additional parent/teacher notes. The text is available in either paperback and hardcover, and the Activity Book is a bound paperback.
