Category Description for Rainbow Starter Packages (with Christian Content)
Christian Starter Packages provide a strong foundation in language arts with Horizons Phonics and Reading in Grades K-2. For Grades 3-8, packages include literature-based language arts with Learning Language Arts through Literature. Spelling is included with MCP Spelling Workout or Building Spelling Skills in Gr. 1-6. Simple, effective handwriting workbooks are included for systematic instruction in Grades 1-2.
For Math, we've included Math with Confidence for Grades K-3 and Saxon Math in Grades 4 and up. Math With Confidence provides open-and-go scripted lessons, a mastery approach to topics with spiral review. Saxon Math has been a homeschooler favorite for many years, with its incremental approach and built-in review and repetition. Suggested math manipulatives are included for Grades K-3.
Apologia or Master Books Science courses provide a survey of the sciences from a Young Earth perspective. Lab Kits included when available.
In K-2, Master Books Social Studies provides a child-friendly introduction to the world around us. Grades 3-4 introduce the literature-rich Notgrass History, with Alpha Omega Lifepacsfor middle school.
In 9th grade, literature and writing from Sharon Watson provide conversational, Biblical-centered instruction. Master's Biology is a college preparatory program offering a full lab experience (lab supplies not included) or a simplified approach using home labs and book based microscopic labs. US History and Algebra round out the essential high school subjects.

Hello, Does the bundle include daily lesson plans?
There are no comprehensive lesson plans for the entire package. However, individual courses will typicall have their own lessons plans or don't need them (i.e. Saxon Algebra 1 which just does one lesson per day.)
can i substitute algebra for pre algebra?
Actually, this package does include algebra instead of pre-algebra.
We did tons of research. We used a Bookshark program this past year, and this curriculum looked just as thorough for a more affordable price. We love that all of the teacher answer/solution manuals…
I really like the selection of books chosen. Good combination. Takes the leg work out of putting together the curriculum.
