This package includes everything needed (student and teacher book) to complete Writing & Rhetoric Book 2: Narrative 1, a one-semester course, PLUS the optional Audio Files featuring the reading of the fables, narratives, legends, myths, and other excerpts presented in the student book. The MP3 audio files add flexibility and can enhance understanding, allowing students to listen or follow along with text, but please note that teacher interaction and discussion is still needed. Upon purchase, the access code and instructions for MP3 files will be emailed to you. The included Student Text (010228) is consumable, so if you have 2 students you will need to purchase another. The included Teacher Edition (010237) is intended to be used in conjunction with the student book and includes a copy of student material with teaching notes, explanations, answer keys, helpful guidance and examples for every assignment. ~Nancie

Narrative I, the second book of 12 in the Writing & Rhetoric series, uses parable, myth, and other tales to continue the recovery of the proven method of teaching writing, using various forms of narrative to teach beginning writers the craft of writing well. This is the second in a series of 12 books that will train students over 6 years, starting in grades 3 or 4 and up.
I was unfamiliar with this series prior to seeing it at our homeschool conference this year, but after flipping through, I had to purchase it! I am so glad I did as my children LOVE it! It is just the right length for lessons/assignments and also engaging. We intend to continue on as long as there are levels to meet our needs :)

Is this faith based?
It uses famous and popular literature to teach writing. The Bible is used, but is treated like literature. It is published by Classical Academic press, which is believe is faith based, but the curriculum is not necessarily faith based. The Bible is spoken about with respect.
