The Abeka Flash-a-Card sets help to make Bible learning a priority in your family’s life. From the perspective of a parent and teacher, biblical instruction can seem daunting and intimidating. This 8.5” x 11”, full-color, bound booklet comes with a separate lesson guide with scripted narrations for each image. The lesson guide can be removed from the center of the book so it does not interfere with the presentation. This series is used each year for Bible instruction. There are 34 images total, with 1 lesson covering The First Thanksgiving and 5 lessons covering The First Christmas. It includes 4-6 images per lesson. The lesson guide includes the narrations, scripture references (KJV), review questions for each lesson, and a section on how to lead your child to Christ. Check out our Flash-a-Card pdf to see the spiral cycle of these lessons. Can be used independently, but is intended to be used with the full Abeka Bible program. 60 pgs, pb. ~Rebecca
Publisher's Description of Abeka First Christmas Flash-a-Card Bible Stories
Does your student really understand what Christmas and Thanksgiving are all about? Specifically designed for homeschool use, this 8½" x 11" book includes 6 lessons and 34 pictures covering Jesus’ humble birth in Bethlehem, God’s protection of Him, and the Pilgrims’ first Thanksgiving in America to thank God for His providence and grace. An easily detached lesson guide gives you detailed content to teach, prompts to use the pictures, and review questions for each lesson. K5–gr. 7.
The Abeka Bible Grade 1 will closely follow the K5 stories
utilizing the twelve (12) Flash-a-Card® sets. Students will enjoy the narrative
approach to Bible stories about Jesus, creation, Old Testament patriarchs, and
the life of Paul. Students will dig a little deeper in their understanding and
comprehension of these Bible stories. Lesson guides are included with each set
of cards with detailed prompts. The First Grade Bible Curriculum guide
details the Scope and Sequence, memory verses, and lesson plans. This is the
resource to help teachers plan their Bible studies for the year. The kit will
include the Sing unto the Lord 1 CD to teach 63 biblically-based songs
and hymns, aiding understanding of Jesus’ love through the power of song. Correlating
with the Bible 1 program, (but also feasible to use independently), is the Bible
Friends Activity Book. Filled with pages of colorful activities, character
traits, and bible stories, students will be interacting with their Bible
knowledge throughout. If you are moving into the Abeka Bible Grade 1 from K5,
you simply need to add the Life of Paul Series 1(083312) to your Flash-a-Card®
sets, the First Grade Bible Curriculum guide (022192), and the Sing unto the
Lord CD (044041).
