Description

A unique way to learn about chemistry and the elements of science, this book demonstrates several different experiments in dialogue form, using frequent picture illustrations. The dialogue is between an uncle and two nephews. The uncle is teaching the chemistry and the two boys are completing the experiments and giving their input about what they believe to be happening during the experiments. The uncle gives gentle hints and corrections when needed, but still encourages the boys to come to a logical and clear conclusion on their own. This unique approach to the field of chemistry could be very helpful to young students or hands-on and visual learners. Allows the reader to gather a bit of hands-on experience and information without having to actually complete their own experiments or gather chemistry supplies. I personally struggled with chemistry in high school, and I found this information to be very helpful. 379 pgs, pb. ~ Brianna
