Epic is an attractive illustrated Bible for teenagers. The style of illustration is somewhat similar to a Bible comic book, but it is beautifully illustrated with some dialogue. Each chapter builds on the narrative presented in the Bible and the focus is upon bringing God the most glory. At the end of each “chapter" there is a spiritual formation reflection question to get you thinking about what you are reading and how best to apply it to your life. This would pair very well with Epic Devotions: 52 Weeks in the Story that Changed the World as you read through this narrative. A great aspect of this illustrated Bible is that the parables are supported through the illustrated depictions. This becomes a great resource to add Bible to student's studies who are reluctant to sit down with just the text. Pairing this with the Epic Devotions not only gets students in the Word but also fortifies their spiritual formation. 320 pgs, hc. ~Rebecca
