Description

SiSi Box Set: Full printed Spanish Curriculum for two years, 150+ page hole punched manual, physical flashcards, custom whiteboard paddle, marker, card pages, box, etc.

A full 2-year Spanish course in a box! I love a tidy presentation. If you are looking for a family-oriented Spanish, something for your auditory or visual learner, or perhaps you have a child who struggles with writing – this could be the Spanish you have been looking for.

In the box you will find 3 color-coded decks of picture/vocabulary cards, a flash drive with MP3 audio files (changing to a QR code), a dry erase paddle with marker, and a looseleaf teacher manual ready to put in a binder (not included), along with 2 card sleeves to save sentences in your binder.

Students listen to the same lesson 3x per week before moving on. The first lesson is only 8 minutes long. In fact, the longest lesson is only 15 minutes. Any learner can work this program into their busy schedule.

Lesson instruction is in the manual, so it's as simple as opening to the lesson, laying out your cards, and playing the audio. Parents are not expected to know any Spanish to teach this course. Students start with simple vocabulary (see the video) but will progress to articles, ser/estar/ir/tener, regular ar verbs, possessive adjectives, noun/adjective agreement, #0-50, commands, questions, parts of speech, syntax, prepositions and singular/plural words.

Vocabulary includes words of high interest to children such as household nouns, colors, opinions, animals, clothing, food, family, manners, rooms, & places in town. The variety of activities in the lessons give your students a chance to act out words, play with the cards, and write on the paddle, making it a good option for various learning styles. ~ Sara

Publisher's Description of See It and Say It Flip Flop Spanish: Whole Family Level 1, 3rd Edition

The See It and Say It Flip Flop Spanish Level 1 bundle is a two-year+ homeschool curriculum designed around the Charlotte Mason Methodology for homeschoolers of all types, using a comprehensive, experiential approach to help your child--and you!--master the Spanish language. The updated See it and Say it Level 1, 3rd edition includes the optional "bridge" lessons that were once sold separately! Fifteen more weeks of lessons, with audio, are all included.

Created specifically for audial, visual, and tactile learning styles, See It and Say It Flip Flop Spanish has all the tools you need to engage every type of student.

 Fun for the Entire Family

Designed for enjoyment by all ages!

This interactive learning system mimics the process toddlers use in acquiring their first language, empowering the whole family to learn together.

Use the picture cards to start speaking simple concepts and building full sentences immediately!

Complete with games, charades, and skits, each lesson creates unforgettable experiences that engage young and older learners alike...and make a lasting impression.

Effortless Preparation

Your prep is easy: find the cards, lay them out, and push play on the audio MP3 track. That’s it!

Each week (one lesson) includes three sessions, approximately 15 minutes per lesson.

Easy Implementation

After you’ve laid out the numbered cards as instructed on the Lesson Page, audio instructions lead you and your family through each lesson. You can follow along in the manual, as desired.

On day one, the audio may feel a tad fast. So, on the third listen, it's JUST right--and never tedious or boring!

We encourage you to read the lesson content to students at the end of the week, rather than listening to the MP3. This makes the language truly relational and encourages maximum absorption (and enjoyment!)

Supplemental Materials / Ideas

Includes built-in "break weeks,” when you can read Spanish books from the library, watch favorite movies in Spanish, and take cultural Spanish outings to try out your new language tools and receive more authentic input. Your student is encouraged (with full instructions!) to make his/her own flashcards as well, giving the opportunity to truly OWN the language.

What to Expect After Year Two

By the end of the two-year curriculum, you’ll be conversing, answering and asking questions among your family members. But that’s not all. You'll be able to influence the world around you with confidence. You’ll be putting together thousands of original sentences, made up of hundreds of chunky bits of info as you learned them one by one on your photo Flip Flop Spanish flashcards.

Can this work for High Schoolers?

You have your whole family, and that includes high schoolers, right? See it and Say it is a wonderful beginning for all ages, even seniors in High School (and adults!). If you are  looking for High School Credit, SiSi Level 1 covers a little more than half of the grammar topics required in High School Level 1, and SiSi Level 2 finishes them up. SiSi does not take the place of most of the state requirements of learning a foreign language, but creates the ability for a student to move forward with success, because they're able to think in Spanish, not just read and translate.

Category Description for Flip Flop Spanish

Si Si Flip Flip Flop Spanish takes a different approach to language instruction than most traditional courses. Spanish is taught in the natural way children acquire language – learning new words and getting a response. Students learn chunks of language they can use right away. Parents are guided with lessons on digital audio files (QR code) and a printed teacher manual (looseleaf). The main teaching tools are the cards with color photos and words. You can expect to do lessons 3x a week using the short audio tracks. Lessons vary from 8-15 minutes and may have games, charades and skits, with optional writing.

Level 1 includes materials for 2 years of instruction (80 lessons) with 3 decks of cards, dry-erase paddle with marker, and 2 sheets of card sleeves. Students start with simple vocabulary (see the video) but will progress to articles, ser/estar/ir/tener, regular ar verbs, possessive adjectives, noun/adjective agreement, #0-50, commands, questions, parts of speech, syntax, prepositions and singular/plural words. Level 2 is for 1 year of instruction using 3 decks of cards, a gameboard, spinner, and 2 sheets of card sleeves. Additional grammar (past tense) and writing for older students can be done while younger students focus on speaking and listening skills.
