Laid out chronologically (for example, Job is placed amid Genesis stories), selected stories are driven by dialogue and stylized, bold illustrations which emphasize the dark and the Light. Volume 1 highlights God's greatness and covers stories from the Pentateuch, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 & 2 Samuel and Psalm 33. Volume 2 warns us from falling into sinful patterns and includes stories from the Old Testament history and prophetic books, as well as the intertestamental period. Volume 3 covers the New Testament, organized by The Christ, Acts, The Letters, and The Revelation. Note: be aware of occasional graphic violence, depending on the specific story (for example, the Vol 2 retelling of Jezebel eaten by dogs).
