Earlybird Kindergarten Math Standards Edition is a comprehensive, activity-based program designed to provide kindergarten students with a strong foundation in mathematics.Aligned with the Framework for California Schools, the program aims to prepare young students for subsequent stages of mathematical thinking. In the Textbook (consumable) , mathematical concepts are developed in a systematic, engaging, fun, hands-on way with meaningful activities and attractive illustrations. Teaching notes can be found at the bottom of the student pages in both the text and activity books. New mathematical concepts are introduced and build on concepts already taught and mastered, review pages assess the students' mastery of learning objectives, and structured activities help to consolidate the mathematical concepts taught. Activity Books follow the teaching sequence in the textbook and are designed to be used with the (now out of print) Math Readers which feature rhymes and stories. Both the activity books and readers are optional.
Skip this one. Not up to par with other Singapore items.
I used this book in the past to help my daughter who wasnt quite ready for all of the handwriting of numbers presented with Singapore Earlybird Math A and loved it. I just reordered it for my youngest and it is not the same book that I remember. It could be me, but many of the lessons dont even make sense. There will be a mark the one that does not belong line and all 4 animals to choose from have different things going on - the children get confused! This particular exercise was sheep - and three were gray, 1 white, all were different sizes, shaped differently and with different embellishments. It was overwhelming for a 4/5 year old. Ive browsed through it now and see many things like this - overwhelming or not obvious enough for a young child to think through - and feel as though I wasted the expense of this nonsense book.

High interest and fun for kids in Pre-K or Kindergarten. We dont write on the Textbook but each students gets their own Activity Book. They enjoy finding matches, gluing, some number writing, and other math, logic, mental, and visual skills.

My daughter and I love it!
I decided to purchase the activity book for part A since my daughter is already strong on the topics listed in the table of contents. We are going through this book fast as a review before using the textbook for part B. It is very fun. We enjoy the cut and paste activity pages, and my daughter loves the presentation. Each page is so colorful and just looks like fun to her. She is always happy when I get it out. Highly recommend.
