Classic Pay Day Game: Players earn and spend money as they try to make it through the month with the most cash left in the bank!
Fun and Educational: As you play the game, avoid having to pay too many bills! Kids can get an idea of how quickly money can be spent on costs in real life
Fun for the Family: Ideal for 2-4 players ages 8+, Pay Day makes for a great family game, with playtime lasting around 30-45 minutes
Kids have loved the classic edition of Pay Day
for generations! Players make money every month, but often (as in real life)
you end up spending it just as fast (on bills, recreation, food, and more)! The
game board looks like a calendar, and each day has a bill to pay or money
earned. Roll the dice to see what day you land on and try to make it through
the month without too many bills. The person with the most money left at the
end of the month (or however months you decide to play) is the winner. The set
includes a game board, 4 tokens, 1 red die, 17 deal cards, 35 mail cards, a loan
record pad, money, and rules. Pay Day is designed for 2-4 players.

My kids are obsessed
My kids are obsessed with this game. I'm an entrepreneur and my children have been taught young how to manage money. This is a fun way to explain bills, paycheck, expected expenses and even chances can play a role in your profit.

Classic Game = Huge Hit In Our House
I purchased this game on a whim because I felt like making a small investment in "gameschooling," and boy has it paid off! I never played this game as a child, and I always wanted too. During our holiday school, we played many rounds of PayDay in our homeschool, plus we invited friends over during their school break, and we even roped in Dad for several rounds of fun one evening. My children, ages 12 and 9, LOVE this game and beg to play it in lieu of math. Fridays are our official game days! I highly recommend adding this one to your game closet or homeschool. It is fairly inexpensive and hours of fun! It helps to teach budgeting, bill paying and seeing how far money truly goes. It love the "lottery" aspect of the game because the odds are always against you, and that is a good message for gambling. Really SO much fun, and I look forward to a lovely time playing this game that is educational too!

I just bought this (not from Rainbow) expecting the 30th Anniversary edition to be like the game I played as a kidNOT!All the Sundays used to be "Sweet Sundays" (a free space) Now there is only one The other 3 have been replaced by "Fun Day" "Yard Sale" and "Charity Walk"The Inheritance space has been changed to a Sweepstakes There are also 2 Lottery spaces a Family Casino Night and a Radio Contest for a total of 5 gambling-type spacesI remember this being a fun game and feeling (as a kid) that it was realistic with bills and loans and repairs and one lotteryI haven't opened the box (and will return it) so I don't know what the cards are like nowI was really disappointed to see this new version concentrate on gambling as an important source of revenue and the loss of the Sweet Sunday spacesYour mileage may vary but I'm buying a vintage version on e-bay
