Description
Publisher's Description of You Wouldn't Want to Live Without Bees!

What would happen if there were no bees in this world? It would be a disaster! Without bees, we would, of course, have no honey. But we'd also lose a lot of other foods and useful products like cotton produced by plants that bees pollinate. Around half the fruit and vegetables in our supermarkets would disappear! Not only that, we would also lose the animals that eat these plants, and the animals that eat those animals! Some people are scared of bees, but there's rarely any need to be. Bees will sting in self-defence, but usually they don't disturb humans. Yet we need them. As far as important species are concerned, bees are at the top of the list you really wouldn't want to live without them!

Category Description for You Wouldn't Want To _____ Series

Or would you? Im betting not, especially after reading this series. These interesting books describe exactly what your life would be like if you found yourself in any of these historical situations. The extremely interesting topics and humorous illustrations and captions will captivate young readers while educating them on the very real conditions and aspects of peoples lives in the past. For instance, if you were a civil war soldier, what kind of weapons would you have to use, what is life like in the army, where will you sleep and what will you eat, what happens if you are wounded, and what happened in the famous battles of Gettysburg and Vicksburg? The fun text and variety of funny characters provide lighthearted but factual answers to those questions and share much more about each unique circumstance. Theres a very good chance that you wouldnt want to find yourself in any of these situations; however, youll definitely enjoy reading about them! (Note: although the illustrations are very cartoony, a couple of books in this series may still be a bit graphic for some parents given the nature of the situation.)
