Publisher's Description of Musical Instruments Sound Puzzle
Eight instruments are ready for their "conductor." Place an instrument piece correctly in the puzzle board and listen to it play. Then remove each piece to discover the identity of each of the instruments! (TIP: Puzzle has light-activated sensors; for best results, expose the sensor by removing a piece in a brightly lit room, then make the sound play by replacing the piece in the board.) 2 AAA batteries required, not included. Features
Place puzzle pieces correctly in the puzzle board to hear realistic musical sounds
Lift to expose light sensor, then replace (cover sensor) to hear sound
High-quality recording sounds are crisp and clear.
2 AAA batteries required, not included
Makes a great gift for toddlers and preschoolers, ages 2 to 5, for hands-on, screen-free play
These unique puzzles are great fun, even for very young kids that can't do simple peg puzzles all on their own yet. When the wooden, pegged piece is lifted from its space, the sound of the object, music note, or name of the letter or number removed is emitted from a small speaker within the puzzle. The Emergency Vehicles Puzzle contains even more bells and whistles, with sounds and flashing lights. As soon as young children pick up on this, I suspect they will soon identify "favorite" pieces! Puzzles are handcrafted and are of wood construction with beautifully painted images. The sound box runs on 2 AA batteries (not included). So, if it gets to be too much, just remove the batteries, and the youngsters will have to play with it just like any other "normal" peg puzzle.
