Learning place value is foundational to success in math at all levels. Designed to complement any curricula, this set of connecting base ten blocks provides hands-on reinforcement. Set contains 100 yellow unit (ones) cubes, 10 green rods (tens), 10 blue flats (hundreds) and 1 red thousand cube that snap easily together within each type, one fastening directly on top of the other (like LEGO®'s). Similar to #15316, except this set is multi-colored and does not include the teacher guide. Unit cubes measure approximately 1cm. ~Deanne
Publisher's Description of Interlocking Base Ten Blocks (Multi-Color, 121 Pieces)
The colors help emphasise the base ten nature of the number system and make it simpler for students and teachers to describe what they are doing as they can refer to the different colors.
"Hands on Learning"
This set contains 100 yellow units (1x1x1cm), 10 green rods (1x1x10cm), 10 flats(1x10x10cm), 1 red cubes (10x10x10cm).
Develop number sense
Helps children in visualizing numbers to develop number sense, and to become proficient in place value. Base 10 blocks are proportionally sized to emphasise that 10 ones make 10, 10 x ten makes 100 and 100 x ten = 1,000. Hands on Learning.
Helps advance important maths skills
Advance important maths skills in counting, sorting, place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division & subitising.
Essential educational tool
Edx Education's Base 10 Set is color coded to help make it easier for students and teachers to describe and recognise what they are doing as they can refer to the different colors during learning activities.
This linking set is similar to blue set above, but blocks are constructed to link together top to bottom (like LEGOs). This allows students to actually build models of numbers, giving them a real "feel" for base ten concepts. Not just for place value, interlocking blocks also can be used to model addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and percents. The Starter Set is blue and contains 100 unit cubes, 30 rods, 10 flats, 1 decimeter cube and a teacher's manual. The manual includes teaching ideas for several different math concepts. Individual pieces can be ordered seperately.
I really like this set of Base 10 blocks. It matches my other set that I purchased 4-5 years ago elsewhere. The yellow ones, green tens, and blue 100s flats are all empty on the bottom so they snap on top of each other like Lego. FYI, the red 1000 cube is not snappable, and the grooves aren't deep enough for anything to snap on it. That's okay by me. I'm using the cubes with the foam Base 10 mat and it's all working out perfectly.

Great Base Ten Set
This is such a great set! We use them for homeschool math. The fact that they interlock makes them even more fun for my son. They seem sturdy and I love that they are different colors. I think that really helps point out the different values. These have been a big hit with us so far and I hope to use them for years to come with both of my kids.

Great learning blocks
Love these learning blocks. My kids love these blocks and after their lessons, they like to build with them for fun too like legos! They only wished the thousands block had grooves for the other blocks to attach.

Good quality but only 10 tens.
These blocks are good quality and doing everything I expected. My only issue is that there are only 10 of the ten rods. There are plenty of one blocks which is great. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but if I'm showing my kids 83 + 49 for example, I want to make 83 with 8 ten rods and 49 with 4 ten rods and then I probably need another ten rod for when I'm adding the units together before I add the tens. Then I would put the 10 ten rods together and trade it in for a hundred, so I need more than 10 ten rods, just the same as I need more than 10 unit cubes. Does that make sense? I'm probably going to buy a second set to make it work. They are definitely helping get my kiddos get their math concepts better.

Good price, work well, great supplement to use with Primary Mathematics. For my Lego loving boys the interlocking aspect is a big advantage.
