Intro to Science Student Diary Pages (3rd ED)
Intro to Science is a complete thirty-six week set of plans to introduce your early elementary student to the world of science! The student diary has customized weekly pages to use with your students, including coloring pages, demonstration sheets, activity pages, and nature journal sheets.
Intro to Science for PK-1 is structured similarly to the grammar stage Elemental Science programs, but simplified for younger learners. At this level, the program emphasizes observation, hands-on activities, nature studies, read-alouds from resource and library books - and lots of coloring. These are also 36-week courses, with weekly assignments provided in a bullet-point-like format and two scheduling options (2- and 5-day) provided. In Intro to Science, you'll spend six weeks each on chemistry, physics, geology, meteorology, botany and zoology. Recommended library books are listed for each week, and there are also a few primary resources you'll use all year long. For Intro to Science, these are The Usborne Children's Science Encyclopedia and Handbook of Nature Study. Student pages at this level provide very simple experiment record forms, coloring pages and blank pages to paste results from activities.
Pages are fun and interactive.
We used Paige Hudson’s Exploring Science and LOVED it! Very straightforward and easy experiments.
Highly recommended by homeschool co-op! Great resource!
