While it won't fly throughout the house (thankfully!), children will be able to control the thrust and turbine speed from the display stand ("Testing Lab".) While recommended for ages 8 and up, my impression is that middle school age children may require adult assistance. Completed jet engine measures approximately 8" x 12".
