Thorough and so easy to use!
I'm so happy with Saxon Math. It's open and go and my son can read through the material and complete the lesson on his own while I'm available for questions or help. It explains things so well, provides an ample amount of examples and plenty of practice without being excessive. I like the consistent review of previous concepts so they aren't forgotten.

A clear system
It is a clear simple system that helps the homeschooling parent help their student along. I especially like how out incorporates daily speed drills. That speed proficiency is going to be a determining factor for advancing later in the higher maths.

Best pricing for a great math curriculum!

The mastery approach doesn't work for many children, including mine. I needed a spiral approach for my daughter because I wanted her to actually retain what she learned. I want her to have solid math…

Do you have examples from the books?

Generally speaking, when a bundle does not show images to view, try clicking on the textbook alone.

My daughter is entering 6th grade and just finished 5/4(5th grade). Is 6/5 considered 6th grade math or 7/6? Which should I do next? I didn't use Saxon at this level for my older children so I am confused about the order/grade levels.

The Math 5/4, Math 6/5, etc. designations are confusing and have been viewed various ways by different individuals. Currently, when compared to typical grade level curricula, Math 5/4 would be a 4th grade course; Math 6/5 would be 5th grade; Math 7/6 would be 6th grade; and Math 8/7 would be 7th grade. That being said, the courses do work well for struggling students in the upper designated grade. For instance, Math 8/7 might be used for a struggling 8th grader as well as an average 7th grader.

I used saxon 4 intermediate can I go to saxon 6/5?

Yes, you can. Saxon Intermediate Math 4 has roughly the same scope and sequence as Math 5/4 so your student should be well prepared to move into Math 6/5.

What edition is this? We just finished 5/4 Third edition, 2005

This is the 3rd edition of Saxon Math 6/5 also published in 2005.

isbn of solution manual for saxon math homeschool 6/5?

The ISBN of the Solution Manual for Saxon Math 65 is: 9781591413264

Does this curriculum meet common core standards?

While there might be some accidental alignment in terms of topics, Saxon Math 65 was published in 2004 - long before Common Core and makes no claims to being aligned with CCSS.

Hello, Which Dive compass CD accompanies this kit?

DIVE Compass are separate purchases. This one corresponds to the Math 65 Kit - http://www.rainbowresource.com/proddtl.php?id=041256

I used Saxon Math 5/4 for my fourth graders last year. Is Saxon Math 6/5 next or should I use Saxon math 5 intermediate?

We have been using Saxon for a few years now and have gone straight from 5/4 to 6/5. Saxon does have a placement test on their website that is very helpful for determining which text is most appropriate.

I will be teaching triplet boys do I need to get three student workbooks and three consumable tests and worksheet books or could I make copies?

You can make copies but in the end it would be super expensive.
The more affordable option would be to buy 1 workbook and have a notebook for each student where they could just answer the questions from the workbook. And buy 1 test booklet and just make copies for the warm-ups and tests.
I hope this helps.

I will be teaching triplet boys do I need to get three student workbooks and three consumable tests and worksheet books or could I make copies?

From the copyright info in the books, it is my understanding that the company would like for you to have one for each student. At that age, I just made each of my girls do the work in a notebook, leaving the books unmarked for the next student. However, my 3 weren't all working in the same book at the same time. If I remember correctly, there are less than 30 tests, which wouldn't be too much to make copies of, but there is at least 1 worksheet for every lesson, which is a lot to copy. Hope this helps!!
