This resource can be used to support English language learners, Tier 2, and Tier 3 (content vocabulary).
This series provides reading comprehension practice with topics in the areas of social studies, science, math, technology and the arts. Each book has 17 units that includes teacher guidance, infographics, vocabulary exercises, text-based questions and a writing prompt. While this is all quite good, the key to this book is in the three reading levels each unit includes. It is the same content/topic, but with three versions in a range from easiest (1) to hardest (3). The advanced level includes more difficult vocabulary terms and extra details are added. There are questions that go with each reading level. This special accommodation makes this series quite versatile in a classroom or even for a single student. There may be topics where a reader uses the easier level to help them understand the content in the medium or difficult levels. Graphic organizers help the reader organize what they have read. Your students will love the variety of reading! Anything from Fibonacci's and his rabbits, to the U.S. Constitution! Correlated to CCSS. Reproducible for single family/classroom. Answers in the back. 228 pages. ~Sara
