Publisher's Description of Catch-Up Math Grade 3
Get your child back on track in math class! This book offers
easy-to-follow instruction and practice to support third grade students
who are struggling in math.
Category Description for Catch-Up Math
If you have a struggling math student, you will want to check out this
math supplement! Each full-color workbook for Grades 3-6 takes kids back to
basic math concepts before moving on to more difficult topics. In the front of
the book, you will find a page listing key math skills for the previous grade
level and current grade level. Page numbers beside the skills show you where to
find the concepts. Each big concept is broken down into smaller segments so it
doesn’t overwhelm children. For example, whole numbers are explained, then tens
and ones, expanded numbers, counting by tens, and so on. Concepts are clearly
introduced with simple explanations and examples. Students complete a “Your
Turn” exercise after the example to ensure they understand what they are
learning. Following this exercise is another practice page to provide more
practice before moving to a different concept. Each topic is color-coded and
includes a review. Some concepts have a QR code you can scan to access a short
instructional video. These short videos show an instructor walking students
through the concepts while demonstrating how children can solve problems. This
supplement would be great for kids that have math gaps or a homeschool family
who is using a sequential based program that would benefit from more practice.
Use from front to back or just study topics students need to work on.
Perforated pages make it easy to tear out. Answers are included in the back.
Reproducible for classroom use only. ~ Gina
