Would buy again
My son and I have played this game many times from his preschool days through to now as he enters first grade. The game hasn't got boring for us. It gives him practice with arithmetic. It was a good purchase.

My son is in kindergarten and he is doing well in math, so I thought this would be a great option to continue positive reinforcement in that subject. We both have had a blast together playing this board game and I’d highly recommend it.

Fun right out of the box!
This game is darling! We were playing it within minutes of opening the box. It's a simple game, but very effective. And the person who appears to be losing could easily end up winning. Quite exciting for the little ones, and great practice for the older ones. Sturdy box, sturdy board, two number dice, one operations die, and solid animal game pieces. A great activity for when you just cannot do one more worksheet ;-)

This game was highly recommended on a homeschooling forum as a fun and helpful math game so I got it as part of our first grade studies We have really enjoyed "Sum Swamp" here at our house for learning math facts in a fun way As our daughter has grown during the school year we have changed it up a bit to make it match her abilities such as rolling three dice to add three numbers and the like This game was what really made the concept of odds and evens "stick" for her! I really enjoy seeing her learn to look ahead to what number she will need to get out of the "endless loop" She enjoys playing the game by herself with two of the animal characters rolling and doing the computations for each to see which one wins When I put this game in the day's stack of school work she gets very excited and does her work with a cheerful attitude so she can play it at the end Although on the surface it would seem like she will quickly outgrow this I'm thinking of ways to extend its use This was a great purchase!

There's nothing that makes my son groan like drilling math facts! When I found this game I was buying it for "fun" Little did I know it would really help cement addition and subtraction facts in his head The first time I pulled it out he played 5 games in a row and was upset when we had to quit I've been using this in place of my "math drill" and it's been working wonderfully He can tell you 6+6=12 in a heart beat Even my 4 yr old has joined in the fun-we hold up fingers for him to "add" or cover up fingers to "subtract" This game was worthy every penny!

My preschooler cannot get enough of this game! We hadn't even introduced math concepts such as adding and subtracting before we got this game on a whim Withtin two days he "got" the idea behind addition subtraction even/odd +/- He asks to play it once every day or two! One tiny extra you may like if you are playing this with a preschooler or a child in the beginning math stages:we needed physical counters for him to add and subtract which are not included in the gameany counters will do of course!
