Publisher's Description of Ghost Chaser Rocket

The hauntingly beautiful Ghost Chaser is a deceptively simple rocket that packs in a lot of fantastic features. Designed as an easy-to-build, snap-together, Beginner-Level kit, this model goes together quickly and easily in the hands of even the newest rocketeer. In no time you’ll have a finished Ghost Chaser standing nearly two feet tall with its striking silvery white main body tube and clear, five-inch payload section. A sleek transition separates the two tubes, reducing the rocket body from a standard 18mm BT20 to a svelte 13mm BT5. The blue translucent fins almost seem to glow when the light hits them. Shine that light through the semi-transparent engine mount, nosecone, and the mid-body transition and watch them glow eerily in blue, too.

Since all Ghost Chaser components are pre-finished, there’s no sanding or painting required. A clever system of slots, tabs and clips (and a well knotted shock cord) holds this no-muss, no-fuss model together without a drop of glue. Finish off this fanciful flyer with the included sheet of cool, custom sick-on decals. The Ghost Chaser looks great almost straight from the box. You’ll have an amazing and functional flying model rocket in a flash!

Launching the Ghost Chaser is as straightforward as the build. The threaded engine mount makes loading and changing engines a breeze. The rocket flies on a range of Estes A through C engines, so you have all the options you’ll need for multiple field sizes and wind conditions. Look for a peak altitude of 1100 feet on an Estes C6-5 engine. How will you use the tall payload compartment that tops this high-flyer? Will you conduct tests on the effects of rapid acceleration on various objects? Or will you just launch something cool skyward? However you use the cargo section, be ready to track your Ghost Chaser back to ground level after ejection and deployment of the 12 inch parachute. And the best part? Recovery, reload and launch again!

WHAT YOU NEED TO BUILD: Snap together construction. Clear tape and a pen or pencil may be needed. (Tools, construction and finishing supplies not included.)

WHAT YOU NEED TO LAUNCH (sold separately): Estes Porta-Pad II Launch Pad and Electron Beam Launch Controller, Estes model rocket engines, starters and recovery wadding. Four 1.5V high quality AA alkaline batteries are also required for launch controller (not included).
