The problems in this consumable workbook parallel with the independent practice in each chapter and provide additional exercises. A “Math Journal” and “Put on Your Thinking Cap” page is included at the end of each chapter practice. The “Math Journal” page provides students with a concept and invites them to reflect and write about the concept. “Put on Your Thinking Cap” gives students problems that requires higher-order thinking to solve.

Designed to supplement the Student Edition, the Extra Practice and Homework books help students consolidate key mathematical concepts and skills at the section level.

Core components include a Teacher Edition and Student Edition, one for each semester. The full-color Teacher Editions include lesson plans, reduced student pages with answers, and instructions for using manipulatives. Full-color, consumable Student Editions include the core of the student learning including step-by-step instructions, examples, and practice pages. The Assessment Guide Teacher Edition provides review and tests for both semesters, as well as corresponding answers.

Convenient Manipulative Kits are available at most grade levels. Also available, the Extra Practice and Homework books provide chapter specific concept practice, journaling exercises, and higher order thinking exercises. Answers are not included, but available in PDF upon request.

This level covers rational numbers, algebraic expressions, algebraic expressions & inequalities, proportion and percent of change, angle properties and straight lines, geometric construction, circumference, area, volume, & surface area, statistics and probability, probability of compound events. Chapters have several sections and sections can take a few days to complete. Therefore, each day might be structured a little differently.
