Writing with Phonics K5 Manuscript Bound Book
With a unique combination of learning the alphabet as well as the special phonics sounds, this book is a great foundation for one of the most important tools your child will need as he grows up. From tracing examples and writing his name to completing tests and coloring worksheets, your child will form the foundation for neat, legible handwriting. Extra practice is included to ensure that your child fully grasps the concepts of manuscript writing. This book also includes formation guide for all manuscript upper- and lowercase letters, common punctuation marks, and numbers 1–10. By the end of the school year, your child will be ready to start writing full sentences.
Handwriting instruction found in the Writing with Phonics K5 workbook is correlated with phonics instruction. The K5 Writing Tablet provides additional practice. Both of these books are available in either manuscript or cursive instruction. However, the K5 Curriculum Lesson Plans (010157) include writing lessons that reference the cursive materials. Lesson plans solely for manuscript handwriting/penmanship are found in the K5 Manuscript Writing Curriculum Lesson Plans (082838).
I have used Abeka before and like the upstairs, downstairs, basement verbal cues for writing.
This is the writing format that matches the recipe for reading formations. Not sure of the difference in the bound or unbound edition.
