I bought "Egyptian Treasures: Mummies and Myths" to go along with our Story of the World Ancient History studies and we all had the pleasure of listening to these stories spellbound on a recent road trip Most of the stories are tales of the gods and goddesses of ancient Egypt and Weiss's spellbinding narration brings the stories to life and gives a real sense of the characters' personalities What an amazing voice! In my opinion he easily rivals master narrators like Tim Curry the actor who read the Series of Unfortunate Events audiobooks From listening to the Story of the World audiobook Weiss already felt familiar like a good family friendThere are only seven tracks on the CD but the last one is almost 25 minutes long Rather than the gods this story deals with the modern discovery of the mummies and their treasure Every minute of Weiss's stories was fascinating and not one of us was boredI would buy this again (or one of the others) in a second!
