Category Description for Uncle Sam and You Curriculum
Offering history, geography, and government or civics curriculum for elementary through high school grades, these courses are written from a conservative Christian viewpoint. Scripture and “Biblical Thinking” activities are integral. An engaging, narrative writing style is used at all levels. Recommended literature can be paired with each course to add more depth to the study. Components are similar through all grade levels, with hardcover Textbook(s), companion workbooks/ review books, the map/timeline books, and a Parent Guide/Answer Key.

Believing God is actively involved in our nation’s history and future; this course teaches students America’s Christian heritage from our system of government to our military and emergency workers. Lessons will take about 45-60 minutes per day. The course requires four components, which are available in a Curriculum Package. Textbooks (Part 1 and 2) with engagingly written text and vibrant illustrations; The Citizen’s Handbook collection of primary resources, and the Answer Key with answers for the following: end of the lesson assignments, the Student Workbook, and the Lesson Review.

Reinforce the lessons with either the optional Student Workbook (5th-6th grade) or the Lesson Review (7th-8th grade). Both include additional daily lesson assignments, unit tests, and questions about the recommended literature. Literature-based questions are primarily recall based, with a few higher-level thinking questions included.
