We loved this curriculum! This was a great way to begin school! My son loved all the hands on projects, especially if was good related ??. It tied together wonderfully and was enjoyable start to finish. The only part of the curriculum that I didn't follow was their approach to learning to read, as I had already taught my son to read prior to beginning kindergarten.

Great curriculum!
I love that everything is laid out for me. Minimal planning, fun activities, and solid learning. God's word is woven perfectly into each lesson. We will be continuing with MFW next year!

I LOVE the redo of this program The layout is simple and easy to use The program covers all the aspects of learning with a fun twist that your kids do not even feel like they are learning I am using a math workbook alongside of and my child was having problem remembering her numbers We turned around and looked at our creation numbers and she could tell me all of them from 1-6 perfectly It just makes sense!

I first used My Father's World Kindergarten 8 years ago with my then young 5yo We started on his 5th birthday! He and I both loved MFWK He had not learned letter names at that point but by the time we were done he was reading simple words with ease We also loved the science and exploration of each unit or letter I have used this for 2 more children since My 4th MFWK student will be starting soon with the new second edition

We have been using MFW K this year As a first year homeschooler this curriculum was easy to use and well written There is a bit of repetitive nature to this which does at times seem boring to me At least I know what to expect and my student needs the practice at this level My one year old enjoys joining us for the alphabet cards song and a few others She actually requests them if we aren't doing them on that days planWith about two months until our school year is finished my 5 year old has been reading for months now He can read short vowel words as well as some sight words and even a few harder long vowel wordsWe are keeping this curriculum to use for his siblings!

This year I am using My Father's World Kindergarten for the second time and I like it even better this time through Many people say that you don't have to do a formal program for homeschooling kindergarteners but I have found this program to be more than learning letters and numbers It is so much more There are science themes each week that encourages them to ask more questions about God's world around us It is set up in a repeating format so they can easily get used to what to expect from "their new school day" But I have to say that my favorite part is the character training that is weaved through out the program My impressionable 5 year old is learning "I am a wise child I work hard" as she studies insects that work hard like the ant and bee We read verses that tell more about the theme we make a snack with honey that is made from a bee and we start our own ant farm All things that gets her asking more questions and guides her learning about how important it is to work hard Even my older ones who did Kindergarten a few years ago beg to get in on the activities because they are fun for them too It is a wonderful investment in your child and what better start to your homeschool journey than solid character training After all teaching them biblical principles is my number one reason for keeping them home in the first place and it is sometimes one of the things easily forgotten when we get so worried about their academics This program puts a high priority on both!

I highly recommend My Father's World K curriculum Do not be fooled by how simplistic it looks I came to find that this program was written with the maturity of the child in mind not just academic ability My 5 yo dd who was already reading way beyond grade level thoroughly enjoyed her K experience as we discovered God's world and His word The program is a gentle approach to learning that cultivates a life-long love of learning Although it is gentle it is plenty for your K child; yet there is also room to add anything that you come up with throughout the year The teacher's guide is perfect It is not overwhelming but gives just enough plans and directions We will continue to use MFW for a long time
