Description

I have to say, this is not just a dino resource. This is an inspiration to the reader who is interested in what scientists do and how their work affects what we know about dinosaurs. The artwork is a big part of the book as well. Since we cannot know what color a particular dinosaur may have been, the artist has to use what they do know to recreate images for us. It was pretty neat to see four possibilities of a single dino! Evolution is certainly a big part of this resource and discussed at length. Nevertheless, you will learn a great deal about dinosaurs – when they lived, what they ate, where fossils were found, etc. It reads like a science book, but with a more personal viewpoint. I enjoyed the segments about the various scientists and their discoveries. This is a big, heavy, very cool resource with loads of colorful illustrations that any dino lover would pour over and over again.~Sara
