A concept is introduced with simple directions followed by 2-3 pages of exercises with loads of colorful, visual appeal. The book is divided 50/50 math and ELA, breaking down into such specific skills such as addition to subtraction (from 1 digit in lower grades to 3 digit in grade 3), place value, measuring, etc., in Math, and in ELA, parts of speech, grammar, usage, mechanics, and spelling, etc. (level K largely emphasizes phonics).
