Description

Similar to Art of LEGO® Mindstorms EV3 Programming, this book is another excellent introduction to the world of EV3. Though there is some overlap in the beginning, this resource is quite literally "geared" toward basic design and the mechanical elements, with less of a focus on programming. In its place you will find an excellent overview of EVerything EV3 - from beginning builds and programs, action blocks, and sensors to "building with beams, axles, connector blocks, and motors." Additionally, in place of programming challenges, students will find "Discovery" prompts which ask students to build a simple robot capable of fulfilling a specified task. Compared to the above-mentioned book, it's a wider, more gradual, but shallower introduction to the EV3 system. 396 pages, pb.
