One of my biggest complaints with a compass is that the legs don't hold in place while you are trying to complete a circle. This inexpensive yet sturdy plastic compass by Maped Helix takes away that frustration. The compass tip is retractable for safety and a twist-lock holds the compass legs firmly in position. Although this comes with a little pencil, it will work with any standard pencil or pen and measurements are in cm and inches. ~ Donna
