Description

Unlike classic gears, these Geomag gears turn thanks to the power of magnetic repulsion! Build different types of gears with this kit of 96 pieces. Create a base made from 80% recycled plastic pieces and then use the magnetic balls and rods to produce a gear on top. After you build one more, turn one of the gears and watch what happens to the other! Different than many other magnetic sets of today, the balls and magnetic rods hold together well and keep their shape, allowing you to build more durable and solid structures. This product encourages spatial reasoning skills, exploration, STEM learning, and an interest in physics and mechanical engineering. This set can also be combined with other Geomag sets.

Publisher's Description of Geomag Mechanics Motion Magnetic Gears (96 pieces)
Geomag has reproduced the famous ball bearing invented by Leonardo Da Vinci, to set in motion our original line of Classic magnetic constructions with a totally new play platform. Build your amazing Geomag models on top of the ball bearings and use the repelling forces of the magnets to magically create movement, with no contact. The laws of mechanics will no longer have any secrets!

Category Description for Geomag Magnetic Building Sets

We've all built stuff with blocks, LEGOS®, and other connecting bits and pieces. So why not build with magnets? Geomags are the perfect, high-quality magnetic building sets to engage creative minds. Each set includes strong 6cm long magnetic rods encased in plastic as well as small (1.3cm dia.) non-magnetic steel balls.
