Category Description for Parris Toy Guns & Accessories
Toy muskets, flintlock rifles, and famous firearms of the American West

The West: the frontier of America. From the shores of the Atlantic America spread, to Kentucky to Texas to California, and everywhere it went, it brought a little bit more into the American tradition. Whether its the larger-than-life heroes like Davy Crockett, the independence and adventure of the cowboys, the hard, rough work of the frontier lawman, or the humble hardworking rancher, the West has captured the American imagination and soul more than any other region. These quality replica cap guns and accessories tap into that imagination, and let your young adventurer become part of that proud tradition. Well-made, they are pieces that any child will be proud of. Type of cap used in gun is noted below each one. Saddle up, partner! Please note some general rules for cap gun safety: never point or shoot at anyone; do not fire closer than 1 foot to ear; hold gun at arms length when firing; unload gun when not in use; store ammunition separately from gun; treat every gun with respect; never carry caps in a pocket; do not remove caps from package until ready to use, and use only under adult supervision. ~ Mark

What happened to the bang?
Whether it's the caps themselves, or the firing mechanism isn't strong enough, the effect is pretty disappointing; no loud bang as hoped for.

Didn't really work with the Kentucky rifle they were recommended for. The plastic is too hard for the hammer to cause the cap to fire. The spring on the hammer is not strong enough to fire the cap.

Civil War Reenactment for grandson
Bought this for my grandson for Christmas gift. He lives everything about the Civil War history and likes to dress and play the part. I am sure it will be a hit. The only request would be that the stock had a place to hold the “shots”

So far no duds! They put out a nice bang! They work with both the frontier old Betsy gun, and the Kentucky flintlock pistol.

Do these fit a 1851 44.cal PIETTA?

I doubt it. These are designed for toy gun replicas - not for an authentic piece.

I need the kind that you peel off and stick to the end of fake bullets in the Fanner 50. Are these the right ones?

These can be torn/twisted off into a single cap, but there is no adhesive. The red plastic cup is filled about half way with the powder so the cap can rest on a peg or a point. They would not stay on a projectile without glue.

What color is it?

They're red and white.

what color is it ?. It looks black.

The outside is red; inside they are white.

What is the difference between a 160 single shot cap and a 208 single shot cap? Which gun(s) do(es) the 208 single shot caps work with?
