Level 6 of Megawords overviews words that contain alternate
sounds through digraphs: ch, ph, and qu; consonants c and g;
and the r-controlled vowels. Through a variety of activities like
proofreading, word searches, matching, dictation, fill-in-the-blanks,
crosswords, reading comprehension practice, and more, students will be exposed
to ~501 words across word lists 30–33. Megawords 6 covers sounds of ch/ph/qu/que,
the soft c sound, the soft g sound, and VrV combinations.
Megawords emphasizes equipping students to sound out words with the goal to
read and write multisyllabic words proficiently and fluently. The Teacher’s Edition walks
parents through the instruction aspects of this program. 92 pgs, paperback.

Megawords Level 6 teaches students the variations that occur
in consonant sounds and modified long vowel sounds. Exercises will also cover
the r-controlled vowels. Each student will need their own consumable
workbook, and guidance is found in the Teacher’s Edition.
