Description
Did God have a plan for America? To answer that question is Presbyterian minister Peter Marshall, son of the former Senate chaplain of the same name. A noted speaker at homeschool conventions, Marshall has done extensive research on God's guiding hand in our nation's history. Having found a genuine love for American history from a Christian perspective since we began homeschooling, I have read and enjoyed the first two books. A theme that runs through both books (and not commonly found in most books) is the effectiveness (or ineffectiveness) of the Church through these time periods. The author does not gloss over the failure of God's people to live up to Biblical standards, and discusses some of the low points in our history as well as the highs. A revealing book at our nation's history from a Christian perspective.
