Description
This series of books is great for beginning readers because they are illustrated in full color, are high-interest, and include fun, scientific information. Level One books use simple words in bigger type and employ reading aids such as picture clues and word repetition. The Level Two books have longer sentences and simple plot and dialogue. The Level Three Readers have slightly longer text, with harder words and more complex stories. The Level Four Readers have more advanced vocabulary, detailed and descriptive text, and in-depth plot and character development. All levels explore science topics in age-appropriate language and storybook format. The books about animals share what the animals eat, where they live, how big they get, parts of their bodies, and other specific information about each creature. The other books contain the same easy language and scientific detail about various other subjects.
