God’s Great Covenant Old Testament 2 Program components include a Student Textbook, Teacher Guide, Timeline and Map Set, and Audio Files. This program engages students and parents alike as they learn about the books of the Bible,1Samuel to Malachi, narrated in an understandable and enjoyable way.

Thirty-two weekly chapters are divided into five units: The Early Kingdom – The God Who Anoints; The Glorious Kingdom – The God Who Blesses; The Divided Kingdom – The God Who Reigns; The Remnant Kingdom – The God Who Judges; and The Exiled Nation – The God Who Restores.

The beginning of each chapter in the Student Worktext has the lesson theme, key facts about the chapter, the memory passage, and a “message from the king” (which are wise messages from the Bible). Then there is a short story followed by review worksheets that contain various activities like matching, filling in the blanks, unscrambling, story sequencing, and more. At the end of each unit there is a devotion about the next unit’s theme. The back of the book includes appendices, chapter quizzes, and maps. The Teacher Guide has a reduced copy of the student text with additional notes further elaborating on the historical, geographical, cultural, and theological concepts of the text. Answers to the review worksheets are also included. The Audio Files contain the readings in the student text. The Old Testament Timeline and Map Set corresponds to the Old Testament Books 1 and 2 and includes a quality timeline of OT events and six maps. The double-sided timeline (76") contains all events and images on one side, and on the flip side a blank timeline with separate images/events to cut and add as studied. God’s Great Covenant Old Testament 2: A Bible Course for Children continues to follow the journey of God’s people as they become the nation of Israel. By chronologically studying the second half of the Old Testament from Samuel to Malachi, students will see how the God of Israel keeps and renews His covenant with His people. Students will also learn the ways in which the Old Testament forecasts the coming kingdom of Jesus Christ in the New Testament. The text studies various prophets in their contexts, so their lives and words can be understood in relation to their own times as well as times to come.

  • God's Great Covenant Old Testament 2 (consumable student edition) The student edition has 32 weekly chapters divided into 5 themed units. Each chapter includes the story of that week’s Bible verses, presented at a clear, elementary reading level, and a memory page with a Bible verse, key facts chart, and vocabulary. A thought-provoking “Who is God?” question encourages students to consider how to relate to God in their own lives. There are also worksheets and a quiz to accompany each lesson.
  • God's Great Covenant Old Testament 2 Teacher's Edition This edition contains all of the student edition content, as well as providing answer keys for the worksheets and quizzes. The teacher's edition also incorporates additional factual information to expand upon the historical, geographical, cultural, and theological concepts introduced in the student edition.
  • God's Great Covenant Old Testament 2 Audio Files Students can listen to and experience the story of God’s work through the Bible, learning how He leads and cares for His people. This audio file contains the readings featured in the God’s Great Covenant Old Testament 2 text, engagingly read by Dr. Christopher Perrin. Category Description for God's Great Covenant: A Bible Course for Children

God's Great Covenant Bible curriculum uses stories found in the Bible to reveal the faithfulness of God to elementary students. There are four titles in the series, two on the Old Testament and two on the New Testament. Each course is designed to take one year to complete at the elementary level. Bible excerpts are taken from the NIV version.

Components include the Teacher's Edition, which offers teacher's notes and answers, and the consumable (non-reproducible) Student Book. Numerous supplements are available to enrich these Biblical studies. These are optional, but available to help your family be successful in the study of God's Word.

MP 3 Audio Files are available for this series. They cover the Old Testament and New Testament and contain all the text readings found in the Student Books. Each audio file is engagingly presented by Dr. Christopher Perrin. Below are the run times of each set of each audio file: 

  • Old Testament 1: 2 hours, 8 minutes
  • Old Testament 2: 2 hours, 53 minutes 
  • New Testament 1: 3 hours, 42 minutes
  • New Testament 2: 4 hours, 59 minutes

God's Great Covenant Audio Storybook features over 15 hours of narrative from God's Great Covenant Old Testament 1 and 2 and God's Great Covenant New Testament 1 and 2.
