My Draw-Write-Now Abc's

At long last, it has arrived! The highly anticipated prequel to the Draw•Write•Now series, My Draw• Write•Now ABCs! Now your littlest learners can enjoy this creative learning style as they are introduced to each letter and its sound. Built on Marie Hablitzel's (author of the original Draw•Write•Now books) premise that drawing and handwriting require many of the same skills, in these books drawing and creative expression go hand in hand with learning the letters and writing. Activities are unique and varied, with a drawing activity in every four lessons. Each letter is learned on a 2-page spread, with strokes shown for proper letter formation and lines for practicing the letter, activities, and a song verse that introduces the letter sounds (scan the QR code inside the front cover for the song!). The song introduces both short and long sounds for vowels. While letter formation is taught and there is room to practice, kids are not expected to do a ton of writing. Review pages are included after every eight lessons for reinforcement of the letters that kids have already learned. The books are vibrantly illustrated with lots of adorable animal friends along the way. You can start with either the uppercase or lowercase book, or use them simultaneously. All in all, a very unique, gentle, and fun introduction to the alphabet! ~ Megan
