The Math-U-See Zeta Set (no Integer Block Kit, no Algebra Decimal Insert Kit) includes the Zeta Student Workbook and Tests, the Zeta Instruction Manual, and the Math-U-See Zeta Online Instruction with Video. Families who prefer DVD instruction may wish to consider the optional Math-U-See Zeta DVD. We also offer a Math-U-See Zeta Set with the Integer Block Kit and Algebra Decimal Insert Kit for families who also need to purchase the required manipulatives and a Math-U-See Zeta Set with Algebra Decimal Insert Kit for families who already own the Integer Block Kit.
Mastery of decimals and percents and their relationship to fractions, applying core mathematical operations. Additional concepts include understanding and simplifying exponents, negative numbers, algebraic expressions, plane geometry and geometric symbols, and ratios.
Lessons follow a similar format – watch the DVD lesson, work through lesson examples in the instruction manual together, and complete worksheets. Lessons conclude with a test. Cumulative unit tests are scheduled regularly to assure students retain previous teaching. A final test over all concepts taught concludes the course.
