Category Description for Math Mammoth Grade 5 Revised (Color Version)
This edition provides the same great mastery approach to math that we know and love from Math Mammoth. The revised edition of Grade 5 has streamlined lessons, making some lessons optional, and has rewritten entire lessons in chapters 1, 2, 5, and 9. The lesson concerning circles has been removed and longer lessons in chapter 1 have been made into two separate lessons. These revisions have been made to help create a more focused presentation. Same four components (2 worktexts, test booklet, answer key) are specific to this edition. Areas of study in Grade 5 include: the four operations with whole numbers, decimals and fractions; along with statistics, graphing, problem solving, and geometry. ~Rebecca

Highly Recommend Math Mammoth
I really appreciate the way these books organize information and allow my child to teach himself. They are slim workbooks, so easy to grab and go.

Have used the product for the past two years. Very thorough as far as covering topic matter. I always find an introductory video on You Tube to use as an introduction. Do not always use her videos as I find more kid friendly ones on You Tube.

Wonderful curriculum!
I love this math curriculum. Each new concept is explained well for the student, and videos are available online for additional support. We have tried a few different math curriculums since homeschooling, and my student who has a difficult time in math and my student who is gifted in math, both do very well with this curriculum. I'm thrilled to of found it!

The absolute best math program, in my opinion!
I wish I had found this math program sixteen years ago when I first began homeschooling. I have used many programs throughout the years while schooling my seven children. Math Mammoth is by far the best curriculum I have used. It teaches in such a way that the student learns and is able to apply what is learned in everyday life. It is a mastery system, but has plenty of accessible reviews and work sheets to incorporate a spiral system as well. It is so well organized. The teaching is right in the lesson, and the majority of the program can be self taught by the student with very little needed teaching from the instructor. It is written in a way that is easily understood. I had students who were far behind in math and this program filled in our missing gaps and brought my students to where they needed to be much sooner than I had anticipated. Obviously I highly recommend this program.

Excellent coverage and explanation, not great for my very visual daughter.
I like the way topics are introduced step by step. There is great support...videos on YouTube and a practice website that is customizeable. My daughter gets overwhelmed by the presentation...it's a lot of words in a little space sometimes. I have to read through the teaching part with her or present it myself, then she does great.
