Math Mammoth Light Blue Series Grade 4 Colored Package

If your child & even you yourself struggle with grasping math DO NOT buy this curriculum. I bought this because I needed something fairly self independent for my oldest so I could focus better on my younger K student. Things are worded so horribly and not clear on what they actually want from you at times even in the answer book. So my student is unable to really do the work independently and it's dragging out our school days even longer causing a lot of unnecessary frustration & tears from both of us. Not a good curriculum at all for those not math savvy.

I love the quick pace of the lessons. My only complaint at 6 weeks in if they don’t understand the material I have to find more work sheets on my own. My oldest who is 8 is doing the 4th grade math is able to do most lessons on her own or mostly on her own.

Using this for our first year of homeschool. My daughter was struggling in mtay. She doesn't love this curriculum, however, we are seeing improvements in her math skills. She doesn't care for the videos that go with the curriculum.

We are one week into Math Mammoth with my 3rd and 4th grader. They are enjoying the curriculum so far. They have been doing “review” this week, but it is presented differently than they have done it before. It makes it challenging, but doable. I think this will be a very complete but enjoyable curriculum. My only complaint is that a lot of the internet links don’t work. Shipping from rainbow resources was fast with great communication. I would purchase again.

Math Mammoth makes me feel confident that my kids are covering everything they need and more. The website provides lots of extras too. The curriculum is easy to follow and is a very affordable option.

We really love this math curriculum. I like how it's pretty open and go. My kids can work independently, and I can be there to help teach a new concept. I really like how it focuses strongly on mental math. I also find the answer key helpful for me. One thing I also really like is that there is great attention to detail. I've come across many curriculum books with typos or wrong answers in the answer key. So far, there seems to be strong attention to detail in this product.

We are only a few weeks in but so far I’m pleased with it. I bought 5th grade because he’s going into fifth then was I was surprised by the fact that my sons placement test put him a year below. Definitely do the placement test before ordering!

My son has been using Math Mammoth for 3 years now and I couldn't be happier with his progress. When he was younger, we would read the instructions together and he would do the problems I circled. I usually only have him do about half the problems, unless he's struggling with a concept. Now that he's older, he reads the instructions on his own and does the problems and I just go over it with him when he's done. Being able to do a lot of his math independently has been great for his confidence as well as his reading comprehension. I love how the program is spiral. He's currently working on learning to tell time, for the third time. Each time the complexity has increased as well as his understanding. We add in other math books for fun. For example, my son likes the Bedtime Math book series. Also, he occasionally does Xtra Math to make sure he's really understanding and memorizing basic math facts. Math Mammoth is an excellent and solid math program. My son has never loved doing math, but this program has really allowed his math confidence to grow and with that his enjoyment of math.

I love the concept behind this program. The visual explanations make it easy for both parent and student to use. I also love how they encourage an understanding of the material.

I found a handful of errors in the workbook and answer key that the company needs to correct - so just be aware of that. Also, it could use some fact review pages into the curriculum (I wish someone would combine the strengths of the spiral and mastery approaches).

I really wanted to love this math series, but there were so many tears and so much confusion in the first two weeks, that we sold it and moved back to our standard homeschool math program that we had been using for several years. I don't recommend this one....
