Introduce your new reader to the world of Laura Ingalls
Wilder with this set of My First Little House Books. Thirteen softcover books
narrate elements from Laura’s life in the 1800s, from the cabin in the Big
Woods to life on the prairie. Each book highlights one event or aspect of
Laura’s life based on the book series, rewritten for easier reading and
formatted like a picture book. Beautiful illustrations based on the style of
Garth Williams drop you right into the scene and elegant, descriptive language provides
captivating storytelling that makes even the simplest of actions engaging.
Beware—you might have a student ready to make maple syrup or get dressed up for
a winter dance when you’re done with these books! Delightful, engaging, and
authentic to the style and tone of the book series, this set of books
correlates with the first two books in the Little House series (Little House
in the Big Woods and Little House on the Prairie) and each title is
directly inspired by a chapter from the book series.
Publisher's Description of My First Little House Book Set
Introduce the next generation of readers to the Laura Ingalls Wilder's famous series with this set of thirteen softcover books. Follow Laura and her family as they plant their roots in prairie America in the 1800's.
Little House on the Praire books are designed especially for early readers, these adaptations of the original Little House series feature simpler storylines and events from the books, formatted like a picture book. Each page contains a few lines of text for beginning readers, and the rest of the page is softly and beautifully illustrated based on the style of Garth Williams. All in all, they have done an excellent job in keeping the text of the story in keeping with the original books, so much I almost recognize some of the lines from the original Little House on the Praire series. For young children that "want to read it themselves" and enjoy looking at the pictures, this is a great easy reader alternative or introduction to Little House. - Jess
So happy with the quality and they shipped quickly.

GREAT TO SHARE WITH MY GRAND-DAUGHTERS
As a little house fan myself for over 60 years I was so happy to see these. My grand-daughters (age 3 &5) enjoy each and everyone. I started out with the birthday one for their birthdays, then the Christmas one. Now the entire series. I am so happy it gives us another thing to enjoy together. As they get older I will introduce them to the next series.
