Building on the previous courses, My Printing reviews capital letters and numbers but primarily focuses on the correct use of lowercase letters in words and sentences. We loved the HWT Kindergarten workbook! My son is a leftie and the format of having the letters/words printed above the writing line was perfect for him. Looking forward to moving onto the next book…

Do you need the teacher guide to teach this level?
Elyssa B
The teacher guide gives everything from techniques on how to sit, hold your pencil, tilt the paper, etc. From a homeschool parent’s perspective, it took a relatively simple and fast subject and made it long and complicated. We continued to use the student books but ditched the teacher’s guide after a couple days.

Can you start here or would You need to start with the kindergarten book? My first grader knows his letters but struggles with writing in the lines. I’ve modeled it and tried explaining it many different ways, but he doesn’t seem to get it.
The lines in Kindergarten book are wider. It starts off with writing of both capitals and small letters before doing short sentence. In this first grade book, the lines are narrower. There is more writing activities eg writing paragraph

Does anyone have more information on the Building Writers B workbook? I can't find info anywhere. Does it fall before, after, or go along with My Printing Book? Recommended and helpful or not?
We do have some information on the Building Writers program. I'll link to that info below. The program is designed to go along with the handwriting program and yes, the B workbook is parallel to My Printing Book which is why it is bundled with it in the Grade 1 package.
