Recently updated and expanded, Master Books' Wonders of the Human Body volumes and Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology Teacher Guides introduces upper middle school and high school students to the power of our Master Designer displayed in His most complex creation: humans. Each one-year course includes a softcover textbook and teacher guide.
Each volume of the Wonders of the Human Body covers three topics (one per year) and is written to the student using understandable, straightforward text. Vibrant graphics highlight the textual information and provide students with a valuable visualization of the teaching. Texts include a comprehensive glossary and index. There are no labs or study questions in the textbook. These resources are in the Teacher Guide, making these texts an excellent reference resource for your home library. Teacher Guides provide a weekly lesson schedule based on 5 days per week, reproducible student worksheets, quizzes/tests, and answer keys. Daily lessons will take 30-45 minutes per day. No labs are included. If you would like to incorporate a high school level lab, supplemental resources are available that may work well for your family. Contact us to discuss your needs. I appreciate that this series starts out on the right track with clear explanations of the complex concepts, making a valuable teaching tool for families with science or medical background or for a novice family. The lack of experiments may appeal to families who want a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology without the mess of labs, or for those who simply desire a strong foundation for a more rigorous Biology course, like Exploring Creation with Biology, Discovering Design in Biology, or the Science Shepherd Biology curriculum. ~Deanne
