Description
This "travel theme" Bible course was written as a mentoring resource for new Christians in the upper elementary ages. Beginning with an introduction to accept Christ as your Savior; the rest of the study is a discipleship class, teaching children the fundamental concepts and truths necessary for living the Christian life. Intended to be used with a rather small group, it can easily be adapted for use in a homeschool setting. Each child has his/her own workbook. A short reading lesson is followed by questions and an activity. Many of the activities are centered around making a paper keepsake suitcase and cutting out tickets for their destination to heaven. Other hands-on activities are simple object lessons (experiments or art projects) relating to the story. Assignments include daily scripture reading and weekly memory work. The mentor (teacher) guide is very easy to follow and even comes with a reproducible individual record page to keep track of each child's progress. This easy-to-use study is excellent for new believers in the elementary grades to teach the basic truths needed for Christian living. ~ Gina
