This semester long curriculum package includes hardcover textbook, softcover lab notebook, softcover teacher manual, and lesson plans in PDF format. The colorful, hardcover textbook goes into a little more detail than the elementary level. The consumable lab notebook contains all the experiment instruction and lab responses. Guidance for the experiments is in the teacher manual. Lesson plans, a 20-page downloadable PDF, allow you to create a schedule that works best for your family.
This bundle introduces students in grades 5-8 to college-level astronomy concepts such as the history of astronomy, space tools, the Earth in space, the Sun, the Moon, planets, solar systems, and galaxies. The Laboratory Notebook includes twelve (12) hands-on experiments where students explore creating models for the Moon and planets, measuring distances by triangulation, lunar and solar eclipses.
