Exploring Creation with Mathematics Level 5 Set
The set includes the required Student Worktext and the Teaching Guide and Answer Key. Manipulatives sold separately.
Exploring Creation with Mathematics, Level 5 is a curriculum designed to make common, age-appropriate, everyday mathematical connections so that students have a strong foundation that is crucial for achieving success not only in higher levels of mathematics but also in life. Exploring Creation with Mathematics, Level 5 also encourages your child to explore new things about the world and its Creator. In level 5, students learn about whole numbers, fractions, decimals, geometry and measurement, percents, and graphing. They’ll explore the beauty of mathematics in all aspects of life, including the patterns that surround us every day. Activities, projects, and games help students see the beauty, order, and truth of creation - all while making math fun and interactive.
This hands-on, interactive curriculum also encourages your child to ponder creation on a new level. Why does mathematics work? Right from the start, the tone in our math courses lets students know that they are going to study math as a tool to help them understand their unique place in all the universe. Every unit begins with a “Seeing Our Creator” section that places the concepts coming up in their proper place – back with our Creator.
With Exploring Creation with Mathematics, Level 5, students are prepared to see and interact with their world through a Christian worldview. They are shown the beauty and intentional designs that surround us, and how all things in life connect through God, including mathematics.
Building on a student’s understanding of mathematics, Level 5 reviews whole numbers and place value before expanding into order of operations, expanded form and scientific notation. Subsequent chapters cover multiplication and division, factors, multiples, estimating, fractions/decimals (addition/subtraction and multiplication/division), and percents. The course concludes with geometry, graphing, and metric and customary measurement conversion. Manipulatives and games remain integral to support multisensory learning.
