Creative and Crafty Writing

Hands-on learners will have a fun time learning some basic writing themes with craft projects tied right into the lessons. Teacher instruction is clear and simple. Bible stories and various crafts are integral to the student worksheets used to plan the writing assignments. Lessons vary depending on the craft projects, but most include a simple objective, art project prep including a list of materials, a journal prompt, and writing instruction. Fable is done in 3 lessons, a News Story is done over 3 lessons, and Writing a Narrative takes 6 lessons to complete. Students will draw, color and write in their workbook. Some of the crafts include making a treasure journal from a composition book (such as item #032882), creating a newspaper, drawing characters for your narrative, and even a seasonal collage! It's a charming way to learn to use plot, theme, characters, setting and dialogue. The teacher manual is 65 pages, and the student book is 40 pages. ~Sara
