The Decodable Readers are leveled practice readers. Colorful and engaging, these readers start with decodable regular words (words that are made from the 42 letter sounds) and a small number of "Tricky Words" (frequently used words that are not fully decodable yet). As a student progresses through the levels they practice additional decodable words using alternative spellings of the basic sounds as well as more Tricky Words.
Each book begins with a review of sounds plus a listing of Tricky Words. Each story/book concludes with comprehension questions that focus on "What was in the book?" and "What do you think?".
